Bottom line, if you don't like him, you're in denial. Curry is the most lovable player in the NBA and here's seven reasons why:
Overall, Steph is just awesome. I don't know this from personal experience but I imagine everything said about him is true. He is a great person, teammate, father, and most importantly, MVP.
1) His Davidson years.
If you think he looks 8 now, he looked 3 when he played in college. Curry put Davidson basketball on the map in his infant years. In his sophomore season he led the 10th-seeded Wildcats all the way to the Elite 8, averaging 30 points over four games. The 40 he dropped in the first round of the tournament was what really made him a house-hold name. His tournament run at Davidson is when the basketball world's love affair with Curry began.
2) His handles are ridiculous.
Curry makes embarrassing the best players in the world look easy. The things he did to Chris Paul this year were honestly pretty rude:
3) His shooting is ridiculous.
Stephen Curry has reached the level of stardom where if someone texts you saying Curry is heating up, you drop everything you do to watch. His shot is not only perfect but one of the quickest in NBA history, making it all the more deadly. He shattered the NBA record this year for threes in a season. He's currently at 338, the record was 272.
4) His team.
The Warriors were the best team in the regular season. Coming off of a thrilling Game 1 win last night over the Houston Rockets, only time will tell if they are truly the NBA's best. With so many weapons, the unselfishness of said weapons and a sidekick to complete the leagues best shooting back-court in the "Splash Brothers", the Warriors are the league's most entertaining team.
5) His daughter is adorable.
Last night he brought his daughter to the podium with him for his post-game press conference. If you you were able to listen to what Steph was saying and not watch his daughter steal the spotlight, you deserve a cookie. Not just any cookie, a Subway cookie.
6) His mom is fun to look at.
While his girlfriend isn't ugly either, his mom is always in the stands and always looking great. College or NBA, the camera knows where to find Mrs. Sonya Curry. Sometimes we'll get irritated when ESPN flashes to a parent cheering their athlete on in the stands but this is not the case with Sonya. Never too much Sonya. I have no idea why Dell is so unhappy in this picture.
7) He is the greatest example of hard work.
Just watch this video. Curry gives every little kid in the world hope. His MVP trophy informs the basketball world that you don't have to be blessed with ideal size or athleticism. If you have the drive to outwork the next guy, you too can be great.
"Hardwork beats talent when talent doesn't work hard." -(I don't know)Overall, Steph is just awesome. I don't know this from personal experience but I imagine everything said about him is true. He is a great person, teammate, father, and most importantly, MVP.
~FYI~
I do not love Zaza Pachulia despite what Sean says. I am a Boston fan and have hated him ever since he talked back to my boy Kevin Garnett (ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE) in the playoffs a few years back. Besides, isn't Zaza the name of that bird in Lion King or something? Everyone hated that bird because he talked too much. Same with Pachulia. Also just to clear something else up, I shower daily, sometimes twice a day.
