Watch Guide: Week 7

Another week, another 2 game addition to Sean's lead:

Sean: 22-10     JK: 15-17

This week has four top 25 matchups, three of which are between teams in the top 15. Stanford already put a whooping on UCLA last night and gave us what is the play of the year so far. FSU will be getting their win early on Saturday which will give you time to enjoy all of the top 15 matchups. Enjoy your Saturday!

Yes this is Buster Davis. Davis is currently coaching a high school team.

#17 Iowa (6-0) at #20 Northwestern (5-1) 12:00 ABC/ESPN2
I bet you didn't know Iowa was a undefeated and ranked. Well now you do, and you should also know that they beat Wisconsin, at Wisconsin, two weeks ago. You should also know that they are giving up the 5th-fewest rushing yards per game and their same defense has sacked the quarterback 19 times while forcing 8 interceptions. Northwestern was embarrassed by arguably the hottest team in the nation - Michigan - last week and will rely heavily on their running back Justin Jackson who has rushed for over 120 yards four times this season.

Memphis (5-0) at #13 Ole Miss (5-1) 12:00 Opposite of Iowa/NW
Poor Memphis is undefeated as well, but they are unranked. Granted, they are yet to play a ranked team, but they have beaten Kansas, Cincinnati, and last week won at USF. Those three defenses aren't the most impressive but Memphis is 7th in scoring offense in the nation and that may provide a spark for an upset at Ole Miss.

#10 Alabama (5-1) at #9 Texas A&M (5-0) 3:30 CBS
A&M has quietly been climbing the polls this season. QB Kyle Allen has a huge opportunity to make a dark-horse Heisman run against a talented defense that likes to give up a lot of points in big games. Since losing to Ole Miss, Alabama is pissed off and are as good as any team in the country but this game will depend on how the Crimson Tide defense handles A&M's trending quarterback. We will learn a lot about the Aggies the next two weeks against Alabama and next week vs Ole Miss.

#19 Oklahoma (4-1) at Kansas State (3-2) 3:30 ABC
The Sooners hot start was dismantled last week as they lost to the worst Texas team in over 50 years. Kansas State lost to Oklahoma State by and field goal and led TCU last week by 11 in the fourth quarter. KSU's dual-threat quarterback ran for 111 yards and four touchdowns last week vs the Horned Frogs. This game will likely turn into a high-scoring thriller, both of these teams need this game desperately to stay on track for successful seasons.

#7 Michigan State (6-0) at #12 Michigan (5-1) 3:30 ESPN
Another mega-matchup. This game will showcase two teams that have everyone wondering how good they really are. Michigan has been on a roll. Since their season-opening loss, the Wolverines have outscored their opponents 160-14, including three straight shutouts. Michigan State has not been as impressive lately, especially with the fact that their one marquee win - Oregon - has turned out to be a horrible team. Many believe Connor Cook is the nation's best quarterback, he will be tested against 110,000+  fans and the nation's statistically-best defense.

#8 Florida (6-0) at #6 LSU (5-0) 7:00 CBS
The legend of Saturday night in (one of the two) Death Valley(s) says that it is the hardest place to play in the nation. The Gatoroids will be without their X-Factor savior Will Grier for the first time and will rely on sophomore Treon Harris (1,288 yards, 11 TD and 4 Int. in his career as a reptile) to step in and lead the Gator offense. The key to this game will of course be Heisman front-runner and human bulldozer Leonard Fournette against UF's speedy defense. This will certainly be Fournette's biggest test to date, especially since LSU will try to avoid throwing at a defense that has forced 13 turnovers this year. WARNING: If UF wins this game with their backup quarterback, they are forreal.

Penn State (5-1) at #1 Ohio State 8:00 ABC
10th-year quarterback Christian Hackenberg has led the Nittany Lions to their best start since 2011. They will travel into Ohio Stadium (real original guys) to take a shot at the #1 team in the nation. Ohio State continues to escape games against terrible competition and get compared to 2014 FSU even though we played more respectable teams - I digress. Hackenberg has a big arm and his team is coming off a 29-7 win over Indiana last week, the same Hoosier team that Ohio State beat by a late touchdown. The game has serious upset potential.

Arizona State (4-2) at #4 Utah (6-0) 10:00 ESPN
The Sun Devils are a hard team to gauge. They have dropped games to Texas A&M and USC but last week upset a, now, downward trending UCLA team. Utah is Utah, they continue to impress. Last week they picked off one of the nation's best quarterbacks five times. If your mom let's you stay up late enough you should tune into this potential upset.
JK: Utah   Sean: Utah

Fun (and surprising) fact: The Big Ten leads all conferences with teams that have one loss or less. SEC and ACC are tied for second with 5. Ohio State and Michigan State have played a combined ONE of those teams and won by one touchdown (OSU over Indiana).
